Cobble Hill Health Center is a not-for-profit long- and short-term care facility providing services to the disabled and elderly for over 40 years. The Educator will play an integral role in helping us to achieve our vision: to consistently exceed expectations and set the standard for excellence in residential and community care.
The Educator must be an exceptional leader with a track record of creating high performing teams and excellent team culture. They will need to be collaborative, team-oriented, self-motivated and driven, with a strong sense of ownership for driving excellence throughout the organization.
Who you are:
- You are a passionate educator capable of meeting teammates where they are and bringing them up to speed on the latest evidence based practice.
- You are interested in creating online learning opportunities for our staff.
- You are comfortable with educating CNAs, LPNs, and RNs.
- You often lead initiatives that create innovative and progressive treatment options that set the standard for excellence.
- You are organized - keep updated employee folders (for all departments) on educational opportunities and can track progress and competencies.
- Others say you have an infectious positivity that energizes the team.
- You can clearly define expectations (with proper training) and implement systems of accountability that will drive staff to perform at their highest capacity with satisfaction.
- You supervise, evaluate, guide, instruct and foster the growth and development of unit personnel and multidisciplinary teams on all shifts.
- You are a team player, willing to assist in developing methods for coordinating nursing services with other departments throughout the organization.
- You have an eye for quality and can assist in the development, maintenance, and implementation of new quality improvement initiatives.
- You create a team environment of responsibility, passion, and focus. A positive and nurturing environment is key.
- You are a master communicator and will help to create a high functioning and healthy team.
- You are a creative problem solver.
- You are comfortable with failure and recognize it is part of the learning process.

What you offer:
- You have a Baccalaureate and/or Masters degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Current RN licensure in the state of New York
- Certified in BLS and ACLS
- Minimum 1+ year(s) of educator experience, 3+ years of clinical experience
- Leadership skills and mentorship ability - you love to help people learn and grow!
- You never shy away from a challenge and welcome the opportunity to solve tough problems
- You can dive in to perform various jobs and tasks as needed
